Rose (Rosita) I. Beuthien 1-23-1920 - 6-27-2014 "Blessed are the pure of heart, for they shall see God" Entered into eternal glory serenely and tenderly at home in Gig Harbor with family at her bedside. Rose was born to Anastacio Cordova and Pablita Sesman in Albuquerque (Old Town) N.M. She was preceded in death by her husband of almost 50 years, Howard J Beuthien, and 5 brothers and sisters. She is survived by her sister, Erlinda Cortez, of Spokane, WA; Rose brought six children into the world and was preceded in death by two sons. Rose served the Lord by living the Beatitudes, always in loving tireless service of family, friends, strangers and the blind. Her generosity knew no bounds. She was a gracious and generous hostess with her home open to all. She was also a graceful and accomplished dancer, preferring the Viennese Waltz and the Polka. She was gifted with a beautiful singing voice and sang in many choirs and groups. Her beauty, manners, and million dollar smile lifted the hearts of all. Her greatest joy in life was family, of which there are many. Mother earned the highest honor in the Women of the Moose, serving as Chaplain and junior and senior regent in San Jacinto, Hemet and El Monte CA Lodges. She served at the VFW, Eagles, and Emblem Clubs. Rose fulfilled her dream of owning and operating Rose's Guest Home, initially serving the elderly and later to caring for developmentally challenged young women. Rose was a lifelong Catholic who loved God dearly. She knew her Savior in a deeply personal way. Her legacy is her words: "Believe in God, Love Jesus, Love one another." She spent the last several years at Manor Care, both in Hemet, CA and also in Gig Harbor, most recently. Family is deeply grateful for the loving care she received, for the staff enriched her life with music, love, and laughter. Her vigil will be held from 5pm to 8pm with a Rosary beginning at 7pm at Haven of Rest on July 17, 2014. Christian Burial on July 18th at Haven of Rest Memorial Park at 2:00 pm.
