Sam Bednarski Passed peacefully heralded by a single clap of thunder on the morning of July 23rd, 2014 at the age of 88, with his eldest daughter by his side. Sam was known as an avid hunter, derby winning fisherman and WWII Army Air Forces veteran with expert marksman status on all weapons. He left a legacy of electrical construction projects during his 60 years as a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 76 and as a Construction Supervisor at Totem Electric in Tacoma. Not the least of those projects included in that legacy was the installation of a state of the art electrical control panel in the Tacoma Grain Terminal and the design of all the electrical in the Tacoma Dome. Sam is survived by his youngest daughter Sharon Bednarski, eldest daughter Teri Bednarski, grandson Andrew Lankford and grand-daughter Rea Lankford. Sam's strength of conviction, acts of kindness and stubbornness are legendary. But no matter what side you were on during your last conversation with him, remember him with kindness in your heart when you raise a glass in his memory. A Graveside Service will be held at Shelton Memorial Park on Tuesday, September 9th, 2014 at 12:30 pm following a noon Memorial Service during the daily mass at St. Edwards Church also in Shelton.
