HALDEMAN, Alice C. December 4, 1930 to August 6, 2013 Alice (Bess) Chrissikos Haldeman passed on August 6, 2013 after a brief Illness. Alice was born in New York City to William (Bill) and Smaragda (Mary) Chrissikos. As a young child her family moved to Lafayette, IN in 1939. Her father was offered an opportunity to work/own the Puritan Coney Island at 648 Main Street. She graduated from Lafayette Jefferson High School in 1949 and went on to attend Purdue University and Lafayette Business College. Alice worked at Purdue University as a cook in the residence hall system, retiring in 1992. Alice moved to Tucson, AZ in 2008 to be closer to her sons Bill and Bruce and grandchildren. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, anything Greek, dinner or lunch at Red Lobster, talking to her sons and hearing stories about her grandchildren. She is predeceased by her father Bill; mother Mary and her brother Louis (Louie). She is survived by her sister, Mary Young (Charlie); sons Arthur (Karen), Bruce (Michelle) and Bill. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Lauren, Alexa, Raquel, Nico and Annalise. Included in her family is nephew Jeff Chrissikos (Janis) and Jodi Chrissikos Detamore (Champ). Special people in her life were Father Gregory, Helen Catavolos, John Dorrell and many friends at St. Alexis and St. Demetrios churches. My our mother rest in peace, no longer being in pain, safe and sound and in God's hands. Special Thanks to St. Joseph's Emergency Room, EAST LAWN MORTUARY and especially the staff of the Memory Care wing at the Cascades of Tucson. Graveside Service will be conducted by Father Gregory Allard at Rest Haven Memorial Park in Lafayette, IN on Thrusday, September, 26, 2013.
