Art Gordon Born on March 26, 1929, in the Bronx, Art Gordon was a proud member of this country's "Greatest Generation." Raised and educated in New York City, he joined the Army in 1949, serving in the Korean conflict. In 1956 Art married the love of his life, Lorraine Arlene Stein "Libby" of Brooklyn and, together, they raised four sons in Phoenix. Following Libby's passing, Art moved to Tucson in 2007. A man of quiet strength and dignity who above all loved his family, Art appreciated his train collection, his books, and a warm laugh. Art will be sorely missed and forever remembered in our hearts. He leaves behind family extending coast to coast, including his sister, Charlotte, beloved in-laws and a treasure trove of nieces and nephews. Art was cherished by his four sons, Ben, Bob, Michael and Richard, their loving wives, Jane, Kathleen and Amy and seven incredible grandchildren who are the living legacy of the amazing life he led - Spencer, Dylan, Gabriel, Alicia, Samantha, Samuel and Jacob. Services will be held graveside at Sha'arei Shalom Cemetery in Tucson on Friday, April 4, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Arrangements by EVERGREEN MORTUARY.
