Bella Jacobs Bowerman 10/14/1932 - 3/18/2014 Bella was a descendant of the pioneer Carrillo-Jacobs family. Survived by her husband of 56 years Donald R. Bowerman; sons, David (Anna) Bowerman, Danny Bowerman, daughters, Brenda Bowerman, Glenda Carranza and Ann Bowerman; brother, Edward B. Jacobs; sisters, Soña E. Traw, and Gloria (Pete) Samorano; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Bella was a career school teacher and taught bi-lingual kinder at Mission View Elementary for over 25 years. Bella loved travelling, U of A sports, and lit up at any opportunity to keep teaching her grandchildren in her retirement. We will miss her dearly and she will always be in our thoughts. Funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 24, 2014, at Most Holy Trinity, 1300 Greasewood Rd., interment to follow at Holy Hope Cemetery. Mom loved flowers, but we also support Alzheimer's research and Casa de la Luz Hospice. Special thanks to Mountain Shadows Assisted Living for their compassion and loving care.
