Daniel G. Acosta 80, of Sahuarita, Arizona passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on August 19, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Maria Acosta. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Celia M. Acosta; children, Gloria (Jeff) Weldon, Diana (Gabriel) Ibarra and Daniel (Beth) Acosta; grandchildren, Gabriel Jr., Jeffery, Lydia, Jon, Erica, Kathryn, Alexandra, Alissa and many great-grandchildren. Daniel graduated from Tucson High School in 1954. He then enlisted into the United States Air Force and proudly served for four years. After marrying the love of his life Celia Martinez they moved to Santa Barbara, California where they raised their children. Daniel retired from Delco General Motors after 33 years, they then started traveling in their motor home enjoying each other's company, then they returned to Arizona to enjoy their retirement. Please come and celebrate Daniels life Thursday, August 28, 2014 at CARRILLO'S TUCSON MORTUARY, South Chapel, 240 S. Stone Ave. from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. with Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be offered at 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 29, 2014 at Santa Cruz Church, 1220 S. 6th Ave. Interment to follow at Holy Hope Cemetery.
