David L. Fowler longtime local real estate broker of Willcox, passed away Sunday July 28, 2013. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Marilyn Fowler; daughter, Karen Ferrara (Bruce Springer) of Sierra Vista; son, Lance Fowler (Kelly) of Tucson; sisters, Joan Hay of Peoria, AZ and A. E. Moses of Tyler, Texas; grandchildren, Kenzie Fowler, Mattie Fowler and Nicholas Ferrara; brother-in-law, Mel Parish (Sunny) of Las Cruces, New Mexico. David was born April 22, 1935, in Winfield, Kansas. He graduated in 1953 from Ralls High School in Texas and attended the University of Redlands and Texas Tech University. Serving his country with the US Army, he was stationed in Korea. Upon discharge, he returned to Ralls and worked in the Phillips 66 business with his father and uncles. David married Marilyn Parish July 19, 1958 in Ralls, Texas. In 1966, they moved to Willcox, Arizona -- where he farmed for several years before he and Marilyn established Fowler Farm & Ranch Realty in 1976, retiring in 2012. David was very active in the community as a member of the Willcox United Methodist Church, the Masonic Lodge, the Sabbar Temple Shrine, the Southeast Shrine Club, the Willcox Elks Lodge and Power of the Past. He enjoyed golf, aviation, hunting and was an avid sports fan -- and most enjoyed hiking with his grandson and following his granddaughters' softball teams. David loved family get-togethers and restoring old tractors. He will be greatly missed and forever loved. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at the Willcox United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations in David's name be made to the Shriner's Children Hospital, c/o Southeast Shrine Club, P.O.
