John D. Ferguson Obituary
John D. Ferguson beloved husband and best friend of Patricia Ford Ferguson, of Tucson, AZ won his battle with ALS on July 5, 2014 and went home to be with our Lord. John is preceded in death by his previous wife Sharon, his parents Donald and Flossie. John is survived by his wife, Patricia; son, Sean (Jennifer), granddaughter, Kayde; grandson, Jake; sister, Donna. John loved and was proud of his five stepchildren, nine grandchildren and extended family. John was born in Newark, NJ, graduated from high school and technical school, enlisted in the army and served in Germany being honorably discharged as a Sergeant. He worked in Livingston, NJ police force for 20 years, owned a construction company, was maintenance superintendent for a prestigious private school. He and his family moved to Tucson in 1994 where he worked for Lennar Homes as customer service representative. After retirement, he enjoyed fishing, woodworking, rock hounding and spending time with his family. He volunteered for the American Red Cross. In lieu flowers, John wished for you to donate to the ALS Association which can be done via their website. Memorial service will be held at Abiding in Christ Fellowship on Monday, July 14, 2014 at 10:00 a.m., 7335 N. Camino de Oeste, Tucson AZ. He is sitting on the bank of the river with Jesus, his pole is in the water and there is a whopper tugging on his line. He was an inspiration to many and will be sorely missed.
