Lawrence "Larry" Dalkoff 65, died at home on Thursday, October 24, 2013. Born in 1948 to Seymour and Lilia Dalkoff on April 20, 1948 in Rock Island, Ill. Larry graduated from RIHS in 1966, then received a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Illinois at Champaign/Urbana. He continued his studies in History in the Graduate Program at the University of Wisconsin. Larry was always involved in politics, and worked tirelessly for candidates and causes he believed in. He was a member of the Planetary Society, and was a student of Judo where he earned the honor of Brown Belt. He was also a competitive bodybuilder, and won many first place trophies and awards for his efforts, and competed in the Senior Olympics where he won various medals. He was a member of Chofetz Chayim Congregation in Tucson, and the Westwood Kehila in Los Angeles when he resided there. He was well loved by all whose lives he touched and was an example to those who followed in his footsteps. Quiet and kind, he taught us all much and asked for very little in return. He is survived by his father, Seymour; brother, Malcolm; sisters, Julie and Enid; beloved dog Franco and cat Miss Kitty. He will be missed.
