Marion L. Gary 87, died December 10, 2012 at her home in Tucson. She was preceded in death by her father, Edward F. and mother, Mattie Cox Laughlin; her beloved husband, Vernard S. Gary Jr. and her daughter, Frances G. McCreary. She is survived by a brother, Edward W. Laughlin and wife, Lane of San Angelo, TX; a son, Matthew S. Gary and wife, Pamela of Wheeler TX and daughter, Ann G. Brittain and husband, Bob of Tucson and grandchildren, Kristin Gary of Lubbock, TX, Bryan Gary of San Angelo, TX, Kate Brittain of Washington, DC and Jessica Brittain of Tucson. Marion was an avid traveler, gardener, and encourager. She delighted in her family and friends and no one was a stranger for long. Her welcoming smile, smart dressing and genuine love of people is remembered by all who knew her. Marion taught high school Home Economics. She was also office manager for her husband's electrical contracting business, as well as her son-in-law's engineering consulting firm in Tucson. Marion was instrumental in making Rincon/University High School choir's Madrigal Dinner decorations and numerous musical costumes throughout the years. Marion was an active member and Ruling Elder of Presbyterian Churches in Eunice, NM, Hobbs, NM and Tucson, AZ. Rev's John Tittle and Valerie Phillips will preside at a Memorial Service at Immanuel Presbyterian Church, 9252 E. 22nd Street, Tucson, AZ, 85710, on Friday, December 28, 2012 at 11:00 a.m., with a lunch reception following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Immanuel Endowment Fund or the . Interment will be at Brunson Cemetery in Eunice, NM at a later date. Arrangements by BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL.
