Michael J. Hart 58 years of life well lived, well loved, sadly ended too soon on November 5, 2012. Michael was this giant personality that embraced life to the fullest. He loved playing baseball (2008 MSBL Hall of fame), fly fishing, camping, reading, hiking, horseback riding, sailing, diving and walking his beloved dogs. Mike also enjoyed sitting on the porch of the home he proudly built while taking in the beautiful views of the Catalina Mountains and his menagerie of animals with his wife (Di). Michael's presence will always be felt and cherished by all who knew him. He will be sorely missed. Mike loved helping people and had a generous heart. He leaves us with loving memories to cherish forever. His death came without illness or pain, Michael peacefully passed in his sleep. Mike retired from the Tucson Fire Department as a Battalion Chief in 2008 after 34½ years of service. His career was widely varied, ranging from firefighter, paramedic, hazardous materials response, to technical rescue. He loved his job, both for its challenges and for its camaraderie. Mike was devoted to, and loved by his wife, DiAnne; their dogs, Bryn, Whiskey and Jackson; his stepson and daughter-in-law, David and Debbie White. He is also survived by his mother, Janice M. South and many loving family members, brother-in-law, Jerry (Nadya and Ely); his sisters, Kathy (Robert and Brian), Janine (Joe, Molly and Joey), Holly (Ken, Michael, Kelly and Clare) and Lisa (Rory), extended family and hundreds of compadres at the Fire Department. At his request there will be no services. Please donate in Mike's memory to: Spay & Neuter Solutions, P.O. Box 762, Cortaro, AZ 85652 or www.spayandneutersolutions.org. Arrangements by HUDGEL'S SWAN FUNERAL HOME.
