Oliver Tweedy Foster 98, died February 1, 2012. Born in Kyle, TX January 18, 1914, he grew up in Nashville, TN, attended Vanderbilt University Divinity School where he received his BA and MDiv degrees, and later his DMin at Claremont Theological Seminary, Claremont CA. He served Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) pastorates in Alabama, Missouri, Arizona, and California. After retiring in 1979, served as interim pastor for churches in southern California for ten years. Survived by wife, Lily; children, Roland Foster, Globe, AZ and Elaine Zizzo, Tucson, AZ; sister, Salome Sadler, Nashville, TN; grandchildren, Tony Zizzo (Tamara) Vail, AZ and Mara Miller (Kevin) Prescott Valley, AZ; great-grandchildren, Kendall, Kieryn, Vincent and Alice Zizzo; Kyle and Natalie Miller; nieces and nephews. Memorial Service Saturday, March 3, 2012 2:00 p.m. at First Christian Church, 740 E. Speedway, the Rev. Delle McCormick officiating.
