Paul David Pender 8/14/1926 - 4/3/2014 Paul was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio then moved to Flint, Michigan to attend General Motors Institute where he earned a degree in automotive engineering. A World War II veteran, Paul worked for General Motors for 41 years, rising to the position of Group Vice President of the corporation. In 1983 Paul and his wife, Eve, moved to Tucson. During the next 30 years, he served on the boards of several charitable foundations and was president of both the Tucson Country Club and Tucson National Country Club. Paul is survived by his wife of 68 years, Eve; their three children, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held in October when his Canadian friends return to the Tucson area.
