Rebecca A. Cooper 60, passed away Thursday, October 3, 2013. Born in Iowa City, IA. She has been a resident of Tucson since 1987. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. "She never met a stranger." She would always stop and share stories with anyone that would take the time to listen. She served a proud and honorable service in the U.S. Air Force from 1973-1993. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Fannie Chervinka. Rebecca leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Ronald Cooper; one son, Jason and wife Andrea Cooper; one daughter, Stephanie Cooper-Byars; two granddaughters, Jenna Cooper, age 14 and Makatlyn Byars, age 6; a sister, Lavina Cerny and a brother Bill Chervinka; scores of nieces and nephews. We will receive family and friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 9, 2013. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 10, 2013. Both being held at BRING'S MEMORIAL CHAPEL located at 236 S. Scott Ave, Tucson AZ 85701. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Wounded Warriors Fund, or the Tucson Elks Club, Tucson East BPOE 2532 in memory of Rebecca Cooper.
