DUNCANVILLE Billie Sue Deerman age 75, of Duncanville, died Nov. 1, 2013, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. today, Nov. 4, 2013, at Pilgrim Rest Cemetery in Pickens County with Chip Freeman officiating and Tuscaloosa Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing. The family will line up at the funeral home at 12 noon today to travel to the cemetery.

Billie Sue was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Deerman Sr.; mother, Nora Moore; and brother, Thomas Strickland.
She is survived by her daughter, Suzanne Deerman of Birmingham; her son, Jim Deerman Jr. of Tuscaloosa; her sister, Nora Townsend; grandchildren, Jake Deerman and Allye Deerman; and great-grandchild Emma Spacer.
Born in Buhl, Ala., and after a challenging childhood, she met her soulmate and they married at a young age and lovingly grew together for 51 years. She was multitalented and an extremely honest, fun loving, exceptional cook that loved life, her family, friends, and even strangers. Everyone brought and gave her the positive healing energy she needed to survive breast cancer twice. She is now joyously happy with her love. She is and will be greatly missed.
Pallbearers will be Jake Deerman, Dave Crain, Charlie Singley, Dennis Hall, Rooney and Rob Singley, Bill Bishop, Dalton Bishop, and Richard White.
Honorary pallbearers are Hillcrest Middle School Lunch Room, Craneworks Ross Bridge Spa, Sylvia White, Virginia Coston, Sylvia Thomas, CSICU Nurses, and Larry Skelton M.D.
