WETUMPKA Robert Thomas “Bob” Bartee, age 81, of Wetumpka, passed away Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, at a local hospital. Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013, at St. Bede's Catholic Church with Father Carucci officiating. Burial will follow at 3 p.m. at Evergreen Cemetery in Tuscaloosa with Brookside Funeral Home of Millbrook directing. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Bartee was a member of St. Bede's Catholic Church. He was retired as Assistant Director of Rehabilitation Workshops and Facilities with the State of Alabama. He was also retired as Administrator of Easter Seal Rehabilitation Center of Central Alabama. He served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War.

Bob is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Tommie Nell Cates Bartee; son, Terry Bartee (Jean); daughters, Veronica Bartee Hill (Michael), B.J. Bartee Palmer (Chad), and Marilyn Bartee Gordon (Kelly Sr.); 10 grandchildren, Brian Bartee, Cristine Bartee Williams, Karin Bartee, Brandon Hill, Thomas Hill, Amanda Palmer, Jessi Palmer, Trey Palmer, Haley Gordon, and DeWayne Gordon; eight great-grandchildren, Kaylee Bartee, Abby Bartee, Maddie Bartee, Wyatt Williams, Lilly Hill, Kinlee Hill, Alden Gordon, and Spencer Gordon; sisters, Helen Gibson and Hattie Ann Morgan (Jim); and brother, George Henry Bartee (Francis).
