EUTAW William "Ralph" Wise, age 97, of Eutaw, Alabama, went home to his Heavenly Father on July 4, 2013, at his home at Plantation Manor Assisted Living in McCalla, Ala.

Ralph was born on October 18, 1915 in Ensley, Ala. to William Arthur and Annetta Wright Wise. He was a World War II Veteran who served in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theater of Operations. He was married to Nannie Mae Storey Wise for 67 years before her death in 2003. Most of his adult years were spent in Eutaw where he was a devoted member of the Eutaw Christian Church and served in many different capacities including being a dedicated Choir member.

Ralph was preceded in death by his spouse, Nannie Mae Storey Wise; daughter, Bessie Wise McMillan; son-in-law, Robert H. McMillan; parents, William Arthur and Annetta Wright Wise; and eight siblings.

He is survived by his daughter, Judy Wise Mink (Wayne) of Hueytown, Ala.; grandchildren, William Robert McMillan (Barbara) of Monroeville, Ala., Cydell McMillan Pecht (Larry) of Katy, Texas, Richard D. Mink (Lorraine) of Montgomery, Ala., M, Blane Mink (Sonya) of Hueytown, Ala., and Derek J. Mink of Gulf Shores, Ala., fourteen (14) great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; many loving nieces and nephews, and a multitude of family and friends.

Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, July 7, 2013, at Eutaw Christian Church with his great-grandson, Robert F. McMillan officiating. Burial will follow in Mesopotamia Cemetery with Tuscaloosa Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the church.

Pallbearers will be Bob McMillan, Ricky Mink, Blane Mink, Derek Mink, Larry Pecht, Will McCracken, Lantz Kendrick, Shawn Kendrick, Jesse Mink, and Holden Mink.

Honorary pallbearers are the Staff of Plantation Manor Assisted Living and Southeast Hospice.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Mesopotamia Cemetery Fund or one's favorite charity.
