Carol Lucille (Johnson) FULLEN Obituary
Age 88 of St. Paul was recently diagnosed with colon cancer and passed away surrounded by all her children on June 9th, 2014. A memorial service for family and close friends will be held on Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at EagleCrest Assisted Living in Roseville, MN. Carol was born in Fargo, North Dakota on May 14, 1926 and spent her childhood in Austin MN. Carol graduated from Austin High School and continued her education at Hamline University and University of Minnesota graduating with an elementary education degree. Her life's blessing was marrying her beloved Jack Fullen. Jack and Carol had a beautiful and rare marriage that was rich with kindness, Christ, "discussions" and adventure. Carol adored children and being a part of their lives through teaching first grade, Sunday school, and participating in Toddler time at EagleCrest. Carol was a devoted mother to her children Doug (Carol) Fullen, John (Donna) Fullen, Mary (Michael) Getzke and Mark (Lesley) Fullen. Carol treasured her grandchildren: Brianna (Shawn) Smith, great grandchildren Jake and Lilia, Benjamin (Joanna) Fullen, Eric (Elyn) Fullen, Jacob Fullen, Mary Fullen, Gratia Getzke, Ted Getzke, Joel Getzke, Jack Fullen, John, Fullen, and Will Fullen. Carol loved her extended family too; her brother David (Karen) Johnson, in-laws Margie (Lloyd) Cox and Darrell Dotzenrod along with nieces and nephews. Carol's gift was her ability to encourage, and appreciating each person for how they made this world a better place. Carol would brighten your day by her smile, laughter, positive nature and handmade gifts. Carol was blessed with many friends whom she cherished. Carol is now with our Lord Jesus, reunited with the love of her life, Jack Fullen, and her parents, Axel and Mary Johnson. Carol and Jack's legacy was their love for nature and their heart home in Ely Minnesota. Each day take time to honor Carol's life by enjoying and acknowledging the small pleasures in life. Memorials will be given to and HealthEast Hospice.
