Connie GREMORE Obituary
Connie passed away on December 26, 2013, while retired and vacationing in New Zealand. She plummeted from a high cliff and was swallowed by the moon. Survived by her husband Bob; children Georgia (Steve Ryan of Australia) and Graham (Jacques Hebert of New Orleans); siblings Charlotte (Jim Sutter), Barbara (Ernie Keller), David, and Margaret; as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Connie earned a professional librarian's degree and a Ph.D. in theatre arts at the University of Minnesota. She served as a librarian or as a faculty member at the University of Minnesota, Metropolitan State University, and the University of St. Thomas. Later in life, she pursued a career in real estate with Coldwell Banker Burnett. After moving to Mexico in 2005, Connie created costumes and props for performances by her cousin's dance troupe in Mexico City. She also led a writers' group in Cuernavaca. She had completed one novel and was working on a second, as well as a number of short stories. Connie's great passion was gardening. She held a Master Gardener's certificate, and recently enjoyed working in unusual gardens in Minnesota, California, Mexico, Scotland, and New Zealand. Memorial Sunday, January 26, 1-3 pm. Program at 2pm. Cowles Conservatory, 726 Vineland Place, Minneapolis.
