Howard D. PUNCH Sr. Obituary
Beloved Husband, Father Grandfather and Great Grandfather Age 88 of Mendota Heights passed away after complications from Alzheimer's on January 20, 2014. Graduate of Washburn High School, Mpls and the University of Minnesota. 40 happy and successful year career at 3M, enjoying books, travel, sports, and making political pronouncements. 20 year retirement spent between St. Paul and Rio Verde, AZ. U.S. Army Veteran. He is preceded in death by his parents Mabel and Lester Punch, brother Robert, sisters-in-law Mary (Bob) Carley, Joan Kottmer, and brother-in-law Dudley Smith. He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Nancy (Hurley). Children Stephen, James (Gina), Patricia (Michael) Pearson, Christopher, Susan (George) Punch-Hess, Peggy Punch, Howard Jr. (Julie), and David (Jacquie). 20 Grandchildren and 1 great grandson. Sister-in-law Marilyn Driscol-punch, brother-in-law Paul Kottmer. Deep appreciation to the staff at Shalom Home East for 4 years of loving care. Mass of Christian Burial 10 am Friday at the Church of the Assumption (51 West 7th Street, St. Paul) with visitation 1 hour prior to Mass at Church. Inurnment Resurrection Cemetery.
