Irving C. MORRISSETTE Obituary
Born March 28, 1922 in Little Falls, MN Went home to be with the Lord March 22, 2013 at age of 90 years. Greeted in Heaven by daughter Karen Palmer; 4 brothers; 3 sisters. Survived by wife of 60 years Betty; sons Tom, Chuck, Gary; son-in-law Randy Palmer; daughters Laura (Tom) Hickey, Barbara, Nancy (Kevin) Smith; 10 grandchildren, 8 (soon to be 9) great-grandchildren; sisters Lillian Cicuto, Sylvia Gaboury; brother Leon Doucette. 30 year retiree from the postal service. WWII veteran, served with the mortar battalion in Italy, including invasion of Salerno and Anzio. Receiver of the purple heart. A wonderful husband, an awesome dad, father-in-law and grandfather. Patience of a saint. Taught his children the love of outdoors and the value of a dollar. He enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren. He was deeply loved and will be truly missed by all who knew him. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 2119 Stillwater Ave. on Tuesday, 10AM. Visitation at church Monday 4-8PM and also one hour prior to Mass Tuesday. Interment Fort Snelling Cemetery. Maple Oaks / Phalen Park Funeral Home 651-738-2198
