Leslie A. (Blanchard) FISHER Obituary
Born in Minneapolis and living her adult life in Becker, Hudson, Stillwater and St. Paul, Leslie was smart, creative, fiercely opinionated, knew how to set a mean dinner table and possessed an extensive repertoire of obscure songs that would find their way into any occasion. Leslie graduated from the University of Minnesota and had many roles during her life: wife, mother, fashion model, elementary English teacher and lifelong grammarian, antiques dealer, member of the county planning commission, real estate agent, restaurateur, interior designer, and good-natured prankster. In recent years, Leslie owned a home in Cathedral Hill that featured an elaborately dressed, holiday-themed mannequin in the prominent front window. She was an etiquette school graduate, die hard Republican, coffee lover, conversationalist, fabulous dresser, hard core Christmas decorator, and a collector of dogs, ducks, geese, crows, lambs and other wayward animals. But perhaps the role she loved most was that of grandmother. Leslie was truly unique, loved and will be deeply missed. Leslie was preceded in death by her loving husband, Stephen Thomas Fisher, and her parents, Charles and Gertrude Blanchard. She is survived by her sister, brother, four children and six grandchildren. Interment is private. 651-631-2727
