Lois CHAMPLIN Obituary
Age 88 of Stillwater Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on August 27, 2014. Preceded in death by parents Frederick and Dora Larson, husband Thomas (1982), sisters Evelyn and Elaine. Survived by daughter Barbara Champlin (John Allen) of Stillwater, sons Craig Champlin (Michele) of Austin, Texas and David (Holly Hurd) of N. Yarmouth, ME, 7 grandchildren Michael, Emily, Molly, Thomas, Sara, Nikki and Lena, sister Marion Sandstrom, many nieces and nephews, friends from Lake Crystal and Stillwater. Lois graduated from Johnson High School in St Paul and the University of Minnesota. She was a teacher in Albert Lea and Mankato. She married Thomas July 3, 1954 and moved to Lake Crystal Mn where she was a long time resident. Member of the First United Methodist Church of Lake Crystal. Actively involved in the Lioness Club, Bridge Club, Garden Club. Worked with the Red Cross Bloodmobile and Children's Summer Story Hour. Lois enjoyed her grandchildren, family gatherings, LCARC, reading, live theater, concerts, trips to Duluth/North Shore with family, the outdoors, traveling, Duck Days, soccer games and track meets, friends at Mt Vernon, puzzles,and walking in Stillwater. A Celebration of Lois's Life Gathering will be held at a later date.
