Beloved Husband, Dad and Grandpa Passed away suddenly June 17, 2014 at his home in Inver Grove Heights at the age of 86. Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 8 from 9 to 11 a.m., with a memorial service at 11 a.m., both at Augustana Lutheran Church in West St. Paul. A luncheon will follow the service. Burial will be private. Bob was born June 22, 1927, in St. Paul, to Carl and Marie Temple, and they preceded him in death. He graduated from South St. Paul High School and the University of Minnesota, and served in the U.S. Navy. He was employed by the 3M Company for 37 years, retiring in 1988. He married Joan Emilie Krieg in 1950, and shared a loving life with her until her death in 1997. Bob was blessed to find love again, with his wife of 15 years, Patty Poore Temple, and she survives him. He is also survived by his sister, Marian Werth; children, Gregg (Mary) Temple, Susan (Rob) Kesselring, Peter (Diane) Temple, and Robert (Theresa) Temple; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Cody Hanson) Temple, Suzanne (Andy Boisjolie) Temple, Sarah (Kelley) Kern, Lara Kesselring, Trinity (fiancé Josh Brubacher) Kesselring, Greta (fiancé Todd Kortemeier) Kesselring, Mari (Patrick Hueller) Kesselring, Zoe Kesselring, Levi and Ian Temple, Emily, Rob and Sam Temple; great-grandchildren, John and Anne Temple-Hanson. Upon his marriage to Patty, Bob gained "bonus children": Shelly (Larry Mahoney) Poore, Mary (Jeff Hamm) Stenzel-Poore, Peggy (Eric Erickson) Poore, Janet (Roger Cutting) Poore, Rigger (Lila Randolph) Poore, and John (Rebekah Easter) Poore. Bonus grandchildren include Jeff (Shannon) Griggs, Christopher (Audrey) Griggs, and Peter Griggs, Lucy Stenzel-Poore, Sam Erickson, Juliet Farmer, Tiffany, Addie and Rikki Poore, and Jasper and Sylvie Poore. Bob was a devoted family man. He dearly loved spending time with family and friends. A talented woodworker, he also enjoyed golf, bicycling, music, bird watching and crossword puzzles. He was a past Congregation Council president at Augustana, and he remained active in his church until his death. Minnesota Cremation Society is assisting with arrangements. Memorials are preferred to Augustana Lutheran Church or the Union Gospel Mission.
