Dad, Grandpa, Great Grandpa and Mentor Age 95, formerly of Lauderdale Ppassed peacefully on January 30, 2013. Born in Evergreen, AL attended Auburn University, received his PhD from Ohio State and went on to teach for 35 years at the University of Minnesota where he retired as Professor Emeritus in 1985. Internationally renowned leader in mapping, classification and utilization of organic soils. Preceded in death by wife, Virginia, brother, John; sister, Aline Nettles. Survived by children, Christopher, Nancy, Richard and Julie; grandchildren, Heather Farnham and Grace Farnham; great grandchildren, Arianna and Lillian; sisters, Hermione Hutchison and Florence Thomas and many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Memorial service Monday February 4th, 6PM at the Roseville Memorial Chapel, 2245 N. Hamline Ave., Roseville (651-631-2727). Visitation one hour prior to the service.
