Shirley Ann (FISHER) HARRIS Obituary
Was Born September 2 1915 Died Peacefully December 18, 2012 Our mother was a beautiful, talented, charming woman who taught her daughters to live their lives with love and determination and to endure loss and adversity with grace. She was an accomplished pianist and soprano with a love of music that sustained her all through her life. It was a gift she shared with her friends, family and the community by performing and teaching. Many of her students from Summit School have thanked her over the years for bringing the joy of music into their lives. She graduated from the School of Music at Northwestern University where she met our father, Lyle Fisher. She was very active in the St. Paul community with the MN Orchestra, Schubert Club, St. Paul Garden Club, House of Hope Presbyterian Church, the Friday Music Club and the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra. After our father's death in 1974, she married Philip Harris and moved to Wayzata and then to Naples, Florida. She was predeceased by her husbands Lyle H Fisher and Philip B Harris and by her daughter Anne Green. She is survived by her daughters Susan (Larry) Koll and Katy(Bob) Heeren and her son in law Ron Green (Patti).
