Obituary Condolences

TRUJILLO, FRANCISCO "FRANK" Francisco "Frank" Trujillo, USMC Retired, of Oceanside, passed away at his home on November 27, 2012, surrounded by his loving wife and three daughters. Francisco was born on May 1, 1930 in San Diego, CA, to Mercedes Ruiz and Canuto Trujillo. Frank joined the USMC in 1947 serving 21 years active service. He retired in December 1968. He was a survivor of the Chosin Reservoir making the Korean Inchon landing in 1950 receiving the Purple Heart. His heroic actions in Vietnam earned him the Bronze Star in 1966. Frank then worked 30 years civil service at Camp Pendleton, CA, retiring in 2001. Frank is survived by his wife of 46 years, Pat; three daughters, Kathleen, Laurie and Patricia; and four grandchildren; Austin, Kourtney, Molly and Brock. Frank was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to all who always had a smile for everyone. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on January 4, 2013, at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery, San Diego, CA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the San Diego Wounded Warriors Project.
