NEUENSWANDER, KATHLEEN ERIN Devoted wife, mother and educator, Kathleen Erin Neuenswander passed away peacefully at her Alpine home on September 29th, 2012, after a courageous 11-year battle with breast cancer. A native San Diegan, Kathy was born on July 28th, 1969, to Barbara Ann and Richard Thomas Ramsey. Kathy graduated from Santana High School, earned her B.A. at SDSU and completed the SDSU Teaching Credential Program. She began her career teaching early childhood education and parenting classes for the Santee and Grossmont Union School Districts. Kathy married the love of her life, Troy Neuenswander. She raised three children, taught part-time and volunteered in her children's activities. The family moved from Santee to Alpine in late 2000 where Kathy continued teaching and volunteering. Kathy remained positive and focused on living life to the fullest throughout her illness. She inspired others with her strength, patience and kindness. Her unwavering devotion to her family and friends will be remembered by all. Kathy is survived by her husband Troy, sons Tyler and Trevor, daughter Kelsey, father Richard Ramsey, sister Lori Ramsey, grandmother Yvonne Ramsey and was predeceased by her mother Barbara Ramsey, a teacher who also battled breast cancer. A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, October 12, 2012, at the Palo Verde Lake Clubhouse, 3750 Via Cielo Azul, Alpine, CA at 5:00 p.m. If planning to attend please call (619) 277-3379.
