Sarah and Nancy,
I'm sorry to hear your mom is gone. She was a special person and won't be forgotten. I can't believe all the things Sara M remembered about your mom and you two. I knew her more after we kids became adults. A number of years ago Chuck and I drove from St Louis to Iowa and passed the exit for Marshall, MO. I remember thinking of your mom and her telling of riding a hearse to and/or from your parents wedding.:-)I can still see and hear her voice and laugh when she shared that. I'm so sorry we were out of town and had to miss your Thursday open house. It would have been good to see you.

This is for Sally and Nancy, Your mom was such a part of our junior and high school days. She watched us play paper dolls, dealt with Lili Azari - getting her head split open by a surf board when Lili first arrived in the US; the grapefruit diets Nancy, you and your Dad would go on; Greg Delatorre and your fabulous stereo system. I remember when she called Wendy Zonmparelli out in your kitchen for being officious... I didn't know of anyone else that ever called the champion speech maker/debater at Grossmont High school on the carpet for her linguistic escapades. Your mom was always SO nice, but so strong. Your mediterraean house was always cool and elegant. Do you remember the hassle when your (Nancy and Sally's) rooms were being added. There were so many delays. Your mom kept your dad from killing the contractor. Sally do you remember when I was helping you move your clothes to your new closet. You were upset with me as I put some of the hangers in your new closet backwards. You were worried you could't get them out quickly in a fire.. as the handgers were backwards... Your mom politely, but firmly suggested, that your clothes whould be the least of your worries. She was laughing so hard. I am not sure what was so funny that day. She was such a wonder friend to our Mom. They were such buddies for so long. Such a wonderful woman. She will be missed.

Nancy and Sarah,
We were sorry to hear of your mother's passing. She was a very special lady. Both your Mom and Dad were so kind to us. Your father was a mentor for me, and your Mom was so helpful to Robin when we came to La Mesa. I am sorry we cannot be with you on Thursday, as we are leaving the country Thursday morning. Our sincere condolences to you and your families.
