Ronald J. Nash Obituary

Nash, Ronald J. OCEANSIDE --Ronald J. Nash was born January 16, 1921 in Hanford, Calif. He passed away peacefully Saturday, November 17, 2012. He was raised in Hall County, Texas and entered the military at the age of 19. He was a Pearl Harbor Survivor and piloted a B-17 bomber of England. His plane was shot down December 31, 1944 and he was a POW in Germany for the remainder of the war. He was a Purple Heart recipient. After the war, he settled in Riverside with his family and worked in the automotive industry. After retirement, he and his wife moved to Oceanside in 1977. He was a founding member of the 390th Memorial in Tucson, Ariz. He is survived by his daughters, Rhonda Kay Jorden, Lana Sue Heyer and her husband Neal; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Katrina Nash; and son, Larry Dale Nash. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at New Community Church of Vista, 165 Eucalyptus Ave., Vista.
