Dear Nancy and family,
After watching video of Shane's flights of boldness, I was grateful for his having taken a camera along so we could share a moment of his life. He knew the acceleration, the speed, the wind chill, carving through the thickness of air, the sounds of free flight, to do the impossible!
"Courage is the most important of all the virtues, because without courage you can't practice any other virtue consistently. You can practice any virtue erratically, but nothing consistently without courage." Maya Angelou
Shane achieved the perfection of courage.
With love,
Kevin Hardy

I knew when I met Shane that he was an exceptional individual, and now I'm comforted a little by knowing that he left us living life on his terms; doing what he wanted to do. Nancy, you and yours are in my thoughts and prayers.
