Shirley Ann Howland

1938 - 2014

Howland, Shirley Ann (Jameson) 1938 ~ 2014 SANTEE -- Shirley Howland passed away peacefully at her home on January 2nd surrounded by her family. Shirley was born on November 17, 1938 in Brawley, CA, daughter of Mildred and Frank Jameson. Raised alongside eight sisters and three brothers, Shirley attended and graduated from Brawley Union High School class of 1957. After graduating, Shirley worked for Bank of America as a teller. She met Bill Howland from Imperial Valley and they married on June 20, 1957. They moved to San Diego in 1968 where they raised three children, sons, Keith and Mark Howland, daughter Kelley Howland and one grandson Michael Howland. They were residents of Santee for over 45 years and Shirley became a homemaker and cared for her family while pursuing her hobbies of bowling, reading and traveling. She was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Her surviving siblings are Helen Doss, Phyllis Drumm, Beverly Woodbury, Frank Jameson, Carolyn Campbell and Debbie Alsup. Memorial services will be held on January 18th at the Lakeside Community Center at 9841 Vine St., Lakeside, CA 92040 at 12:00PM, attending Pastor Dennis Ottalagano.
