In 1995, Tom retired from Qualcomm where he had been a quality control engineer. As an active member of the First United Methodist Church since 1995 and an avid conservationist, Tom was instrumental in converting the church to solar power. Tom's hobbies included golf, reading, the stock market and travel. During his travels in 2009 he met Vickie and they spent the rest of his life together caring for each other and their three dogs. There will be a service to commemorate Tom's life at 11:00 am, on November 16, 2012 at the First United Methodist Church, 2111 Camino Del Rio S., San Diego, Ca. 92108. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the church to cover costs associated with Tom's solar project would be appreciated.
