JANET E. (HEWITT) DAMERON Obituary
DAMERON (HEWITT), JANET E. March 10, 1934 to May 2, 2012 Janet was born and raised in Chenoa, Illinois. In 1955 she wed her high school sweetheart Wayne Dameron and shared 56 wonderful years of marriage. She attended the U of Missouri, pledged Alpha Phi and graduated with a BS degree from the U of Illinois. A longtime resident of Spring Valley, CA, she became an Enrolled Agent and co-founded an income tax and bookkeeping business. She was a member and retired employee of Trinity Presbyterian Church where she loved singing in the choir and playing hand bells. She volunteered extensively and served on many boards including the Illini Club of San Diego, PTA, and the Soroptimist Club of Chula Vista. She enjoyed music, reading, traveling, genealogy and being a member of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Most of all she loved spending time with her family. She will be dearly missed. Janet was preceded in death by her parents Hazel (Finley) and Merle Hewitt, sister Wiladene Jacobs, brother Lynden Hewitt, mother and father-in-law Melba and Elvyn Dameron, and sister-in-law Eleanor Corder. She is survived by her husband Eldon Wayne Dameron, son Russell (Wendy) Dameron, daughter Susan (Tom Jr.) Grojean, sister Norma (Merlin) Eash, brother-in-law Dick (Jeri) Jacobs, sister-in-law Marilyn Hewitt, grandchildren Thomas III and Grant Grojean, Chandler and Kristine Dameron and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held June 30th at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 3902 Kenwood Dr., Spring Valley, CA at 11 a.m. Memorials can be made to Kent and Nancy Contrucci, Mission Aviation Fellowship, P.O. Box 47, Nampa, ID 83653-0047.
