GORDON LEROY FRANKLIN Obituary
FRANKLIN, GORDON LEROY 1931 to 2012 Gordon passed away on December 10, 2012 of natural causes. He was born in East Alton, Illinois to Ernest and Maurine Franklin, one of seven children. He is survived by his daughter, Leslie Franklin, sister, Jean Roemelin, and brother, Terry Franklin. Gordon also leaves behind the love of his life, Rose Goss. Gordon served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Halsey Powell (DD686) during the Korean Conflict. After serving his country, he worked at Rohr Industries until his retirement. Gordon was a Life Member of VFW Post 1512, M.O. C. Scroungers Pup Tent No. 082, AmVets, American Legion, Elks Lodge and he enjoyed camping with the rolling Rebels and Hobos. Services will be on January 15, 2013 at 10:30 at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery. Celebration of Life immediately following at VFW Post 1512, 6873 Federal Blvd.
