Obituary Condolences

SMITH JR., GALE EDWARD Gale Edward Smith, Jr. of Escondido, California, loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather died Saturday December 15th, 2012 at the age of 94. Gale "Ed" is survived by his wife Wilma, daughter Trudie and son-in-law David, sons Alan, Richard and Mark, daughter-in-law Maria, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Ed served in the US Army in World War II in the Seventh Army Division working as a cartographer directly under General George S. Patton in the G-2 Intelligence Service. He touched many lives and is missed by all who knew him. The Military Funeral and Burial Service will be at Miramar National Cemetery on Friday, December 28th, 2012, at 1:30 p.m. The cemetery is at 5795 Nobel Drive, San Diego, CA. The Memorial Service will be at House of Prayer Lutheran Church on Saturday December 29th, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. The church is at the corner of Rose and Mission Streets in Escondido, CA.
