Obituary Condolences

ROBERTS, ROBERT W. January 19, 1922 to January 11, 2013 Bob Roberts was born in Alamosa, Colorado where he grew up in a large family. During World War II, he joined the Navy and became a carrier pilot and flight instructor. Bob returned to the University of Colorado to complete a degree in Electrical Engineering. While living there, he met Eloise and they were married in 1943. He worked at Bell Labs in New York City and in 1954, accepted a position at Sandia Laboratories in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Throughtout 54 years in Albuquerque, he was an active member of Immanuel Presbyterian Church and volunteer at Martin-eztown House of Neighborly Service. Bob retired in 1985, he and Eloise enjoyed family, traveling, participating in church and community activities. They moved to a retirement community at La Vida Real in San Diego in 2007. Bob is survived by his wife, Eloise of 69 years; two brothers, Jerry Roberts and John Roberts; son, Kent Roberts; daughters, Gail and husband Bill Fields; Debra and husband Greg Jackson. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Travis and wife Cheryl; Blake and Paul Jackson. Donations may be made to a .
