JACK BADDELEY Obituary
BADDELEY, JACK June 28, 1922 to Feb. 18, 2013 Philemon John "Jack" Baddeley, Jr., 90, passed away peacefully after a long life filled with love, ambition, adventure, and giving to others. He was born in Hutchinson, Kansas, son of Philemon and Ola (Young) Baddeley and grew-up in Hollywood, CA. After graduating from Hollywood High, Jack played basketball while attending UCLA, then served in the Navy as a Lieutenant during World War II. Jack co-founded Tri Way Contractors (floor covering contractor), and after 45 years, retired to travel and to be close to family in San Diego. Jack will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Jack is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Mary Elizabeth "Bette" (Sandstrom), his daughter Linda and son-in-law Gary Plambeck, his grandchildren, Christopher, Jacqueline, Andrew and Robin, and great-grand-daughter, Kendall. Jack is pre-deceased by his daughter, Carol. Services will be held Friday, March 1st at 2:00 p.m. at Pacific View Memorial Park, Corona Del Mar. Donations in memory of Jack can be sent to Hollywood Wilshire YMCA or The Zoological Society of San Diego.
