Jean Boozier Bishop Obituary
Bishop, Jean Boozier RANCHO BERNARDO Jean Boozier Bishop, 85, wife of Thomas E. Bishop, died at her home on June 23, 2013. She had been in failing health and was ready to depart this earth. In her last hours she was lovingly attended to by family, friends and caregivers. Jean loved golf, laughing and talking. And laughing. Everyone who knew her recognized that laugh. A former member of the Country Club of Rancho Bernardo, she had been a respected golfer who took pride in her game- especially her impressive tee shot, but played to have fun. In her younger years she had been an outstanding bowler, and a talented ballroom dancer and instructor. At different times she had also worked in various occupations, always excelling and garnering praise for her abilities. Above all, she was a loving mother and grandmother- no one was ever a better mom. She was, and still is, greatly loved and respected, and will always be extremely missed. Jean was preceded in death by her first husband and father of her children, Gilbert Boozier. At the time of her death, she was survived by her husband Thomas, but his will to live died with her, and he followed soon after. Jean leaves her loving children Gilbert (Susan), Don (Dorothy), Deborah (Stormy), Greg, Brad, and stepchildren Pat and Kevin (Vivian), and a special caregiver, Josephina. She has eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The family plans a private memorial service.
