Georgene L. Kiblinger Obituary
Kiblinger, Georgene L. SPRING VALLEY-- Georgene Louise Kiblinger died peacefully on October 4, 2013, after a short final illness from cancer. Born Georgene Anderson in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on September 26, 1927, Georgene grew up in lower Michigan where she learned garment creation and alteration and founded her own millinery store, Fashion Fabrics, in Ionia, Michigan. She also gained experience in the data processing field with General Motors and IBM. In the early 1970's, Georgene learned dental crown and bridge restoration at Davis Dental Laboratory in Grand Rapids, Michigan; she then moved to Spring Valley, California, where she founded two crown and bridge labs. Retiring from the lab field in the 1990's, Georgene, after learning web-mastering, opened an angora rabbitry which she commercialized on the web as: www.angoraaffaire.com. Georgene was an amazingly talented and creative artist who was accomplished in nearly any medium she chose, including gardening, music, cooking, hat design, sculpture, spinning and weaving; she was a seamstress extraordinaire. Georgene is survived by her husband of 43 years, Stephen H. Kiblinger; four children, Phillip Canup (Linda), Lynn Valentine, Roxanne Soper (John) and Renee Grant (Sharon Schnipke); grandchildren, Jeffery and Greg Mattson, Melisa Valentine, Lisa Reading, Christopher Canup, Benjamin, Rachel and Jennifer Soper; and five great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 8, 2013 from 4 to 8 pm at Greenwood Memorial Park, 4300 Imperial Ave., San Diego, CA. No services will be held at Georgene's request. In accordance with Georgene's wishes, remembrances should be directed to the ; no cut flowers please.
