EPPING - Anthony J. Facella, 51, of Epping died Friday, July 12, 2013, in Portsmouth from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.
The Guest Book is expired.
Anthony was born in Lawrence, Mass., on April 6, 1962, the son of the late John J. and Claire R. (Constantineau) Facella.
He was raised in Lawrence, Mass., and was a graduate of Greater Lawrence Regional Vocational Technical High School with the class of 1980. After graduation and a short machinist stint at Gould Inc., Anthony was employed by Berkshire Industries of Newburyport, Mass., as a machinist, tool and die maker and manager of production before moving on in the same capacity to Nevlin Inc. in Wakefield, Mass. He then took a 10-year break from the industry, owning and operating Quality Improvements and Maintenance as a general contractor. For the last three years he had been employed by the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard as a mechanical engineer.
Above all else, Anthony was a loving and caring husband, father, son, brother and friend. He always put others first and was a very giving, thoughtful and hard-working man. Family, friends and co-workers alike, regarded him as one of the very best of men; kind, compassionate, and gentle to all. He will be dearly missed. He is survived by his wife, Lynn (Byczkoski) Facella of Epping; his sons, John Facella of Portsmouth and Anthony Facella of Newmarket; his sisters, Nadine Facella-Piazza and her husband Christopher Piazza of Pelham, Mary Lou Arcidi and her husband Alfred of Rye Beach, Carolann Facella of Hampton and Catherine Facella of Bradford, MA as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
