FREMONT - Brian Jude Edwards, 54, beloved husband, father, son, brother and friend, died on Aug. 5, 2013, at his home in Fremont, and now rests in the arms of his Savior, Our Lord Jesus Christ.

He was born Feb. 11, 1959, in Boston, Mass., son of James Lester Edwards and the late Margaret Rose (Lydon) Edwards.

As a child, Brian grew up in Brant Rock and East Bridgewater, Mass. He graduated from East Bridgewater High School, class of 1977, where he excelled as an athlete in football and track, and as a trumpeter in the band. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and served for three years. Brian returned home to Massachusetts where he began his career as a carpenter. He worked for several local area construction companies in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. His most current employer was Ironwood Construction in Hampstead.

Brian married Rachel S. Widger on Sept. 11, 1999. They settled in Exeter, and then moved to Fremont to raise their children. Brian was a devoted and proud Communicant and Usher of St. Joseph Church in Epping. He was a fourth degree member of the Knights of Columbus. St. Joseph Church and the members of the church brought much happiness to Brian's life.

Brian enjoyed spending time at the ocean, woodworking, gardening and playing darts; however, his main focus in life was growing in his faith and spending time with his wife, children, family and church family.

He is survived by his loving wife, Rachel Edwards, his son, Jack Edwards, his daughter, Emma Edwards, his father, James L. Edwards, three brothers, Jim Edwards, Tom Edwards, and Steve Edwards, two sisters, Ann Edwards and Ellen Achin, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and one great niece.
