MANCHESTER - Edward E. Bourque Sr., 90, of Manchester, died Aug. 12, 2014, at Catholic Medical Center after a great 90th birthday party.He was born in Manchester on Aug. 9, 1924, to Ernest and Therese (Champagne) Bourque. He lived in Manchester for most of his life.During World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy as a Radioman 2nd Class.He graduated from New Hampshire College of Accounting and Commerce.Mr. Bourque worked at Al Ouellette Hammond Organ and several other Manchester-area businesses for many years. He was a fourth-degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 5260, and was a longtime communicant and collector at St. Catherine Church. He was also an avid Ham radio operator.He was married to Bertha M. (Hall) Bourque, who died in 2010.The family includes four children, Edward Bourque Jr., of Hooksett, Paula Denis and her husband, Francis, of Manchester, Andrew Bourque, of Hooksett, and Matthew Bourque and his wife, Karen, of Goffstown; five grandchildren, Anne, Dustin, Therese, Gregory and Lydia; three great-grandchildren, Emily, Christopher and Isabella; and several nieces and nephews.
