MERRIMACK - Gene H. Gerow, 72, of Merrimack, died Wednesday Sept. 25, 2013, at the Community Hospice House after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born in Nashua, on April 26, 1942, a son of the late Bernice and Collette (LaPlante) Gerow.
Mr. Gerow had been a longtime resident of Merrimack, formerly residing on Bigwood Drive, and a member of the Merrimack Senior Citizens.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran and was a member of the Merrimack American Legion Post 98.
Mr. Gerow was a communicant of Our Lady of Mercy Church and was also a member of the Nashua Senior Citizens.
Members of his family include his wife, Suzanne Y. (Bonnette) Gerow of Merrimack; and a daughter, Tamara Chapman of Hollis; a brother, William Gerow, and a sister, Theresa Gerow, both of Nashua; and several nieces and nephews.
services: There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Mercy Church, 16 Baboosic Lake Road, Merrimack, Monday Sept. 30, at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Last Rest Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, or to Home Health & Hospice of Merrimack, in his name.
