GOFFSTOWN - Howard E. Bugbee, 88, of Goffstown died peacefully June 8, 2013, at the New Hampshire Veterans Home.

He was born in Manchester on Nov. 21, 1924, a son of Howard and Mary (Dudziak) Bugbee.
He graduated from West High School in 1943.
During World War II he served in the U.S. Army, receiving a Purple Heart and was honorably discharged in 1946.
His passion was community outreach through St Matthew's Episcopal Church, the Lions Club, the Masons and the Shriners. Howard spent his working years in electrical wholesale supply as a salesman.
He is predeceased by his wife, Winnie (Stone) Bugbee, April 13, 1989. He is survived by his four children, Heather Lovejoy and husband Dwight of New Boston, Brenda Fortier and husband Roger of Goffstown, David Bugbee and wife Jody of Concord, Brian Bugbee and wife Cindy of Gilmanton Iron Works, eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his companion Millie Wheeler-Pratt.
SERVICES: A memorial service will be held at a later date at St Matthews Episcopal Church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St Matthews Outreach, 7 North Mast St., Goffstown 03045. French and Rising Funeral Home, 17 South Mast St., Goffstown is in charge of arrangements.
