NORTHWOOD - Jacqueline A. "Jackie" Richard, 76, of Northwood and Delray Beach, Fla., died March 5, 2013, at Delray Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family, after a brief illness.

Born in Manchester on Dec. 4, 1936, she was the daughter of John and Sarah "Sally" (McDermott) Shea. She resided in Manchester most of her life.

She graduated from Saint Joseph High School for Girls, class of 1954.

In her early years, she worked at New England Telephone Co. Later, she was a Realtor with Pauline Lemire Real Estate Company. Afterwards, she owned and operated Jackie Richard Real Estate, Inc. for many years.

Jackie was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother whose family was the center of her life. Her greatest pleasure was spending time with her great-grandson. A caregiver to many family and friends, she will be remembered for her kind and selfless ways. Jackie was active in her Florida High Point Community in Delray. She enjoyed reading, golfing, tennis, swimming and traveling, as well as playing her weekly canasta games.

Family members include her husband, Robert L. Richard; two sons, Lee J. Richard of Manchester, Brian R. Richard and his wife, Lisa, of Wayne, N.J.; three grandchildren, Sean, Anna and Alexandra; a great-grandson, Brayden; several nieces, nephews and cousins including Edward Wade, Kenneth Wade and Kevin Wade. She also leaves her longtime dear friends, Janice, Peggy, Ginger and Ruth. She was predeceased by her sister, Muriel Dupuis.

services: Calling hours are Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Connor-Healy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 537 Union St., corner of Concord Street, Manchester.

The funeral will be held Tuesday followed by a Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. in Saint Catherine Church of Siena, Manchester. Burial will take place in Saint Joseph Cemetery, Bedford.
