CONCORD - Joseph Henry Bisson, 78, of Concord, passed away peacefully Feb. 1, 2014, surrounded by his loving family.

Joe was born in Claremont, Oct. 29, 1935, to Edwin A. and Jeanette (Rivet) Bisson. Joe was a U.S. Air Force veteran who proudly served his country in the Korean War. He also served in the Army and retired from the Army National Guard.

For many years, Joe and his brother, Al owned and operated Janet's Donuts in Concord. Joe was a life member of American Legion Post 21 as well as the Fraternal Order of Eagles.

Joe was predeceased by his wife, Irene (Ripley) Bisson, in 2012. He is survived by his sister, Lorraine; his brothers, George and Alfred; his children, Ken and Anne, Cheryl and Glenn, Kevin and Joanna, Karen and Butch, Keith and Cathy, Tony, Mike and Cindy; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Joe was also predeceased by his sister, Joyce, and his brother, Robert.

services: A memorial service will be held at the Fraternal Order of Eagles, 36 S. Main St. in Concord on Saturday, Feb. 15 at noon. A time of gathering will follow from 1 to 4 p.m. at the club.
