MANCHESTER - Omer Joseph Cote, 91, of Manchester, passed away Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013, at Elliot Hospital.

Omer was born in Manchester on Dec. 19, 1921, a son of the late Anatole and Cora (Schambier) Cote. Omer was the widower of Marguerite B. (Laplante) Cote, who passed away Jan. 5, 2004.

Omer served our country with the U.S. Army during World War II in the Normandy Invasion.

Prior to retirement, Omer worked at Public Service as a foreman for 39 years and at Northern Foreign Auto Parts for 15 years. Omer was a life member of D.A.V. Chapter 7, the V.F.W. No. 483, and the American Legion Post No. 3. He loved being president at Villa Crest for the past 2 years.

Omer is survived by a daughter, Diane Lozeau and her husband, Paul of Litchfield; two grandchildren, Christine Estes and her husband, Stephan, and Kevin Lozeau and his wife, Megan; four great-grandchildren, Megan Estes, Michael Estes, Nicholas Lozeau, James Lozeau; a sister-in-law, Theresa Duhaime and her husband, Roland; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Omer was predeceased by a sister, Therese Cote.


SERVICES: Visiting hours will be Wednesday, Oct. 9, from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Anctil-Rochette & Son Funeral Home, 21 Kinsley St., Nashua. A funeral Mass will be Thursday, Oct. 10, in St. Christopher Church, 62 Manchester St., Nashua, at 10 a.m.. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
