PALM HARBOR, Fla. - Robert James Leggett, 92, of St. Mark Village, Palm Harbor, died on Dec. 3, 2012.

Mr. Leggett grew up in Weare, N.H., and worked for 15 years at the N.H. Fire Insurance Co. He served 3 years in the Army Air Corps during World War II, flying 73 missions in the Central Pacific. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross, the Purple Heart and numerous other medals. His latest career with the Social Security Administration lasted for 25 years in Wisconsin. He was an accomplished landscape artist who won many awards.

Survivors include his wife, Phyllis; a son, Richard; and two grandchildren, David and Heather. A memorial service will be held in Palm Harbor on Dec. 10.
