MANCHESTER - Scott Sean Yerrington, 44, of Manchester, died June 19, 2014, surrounded by his loving family after a period of declining health.Born in Warwick, R.I., on Feb. 13, 1970, he was the son of Preston and Maureen (Gagne) Yerrington. He was educated in the local school system, having graduated Manchester West High School, Class of 1989.While serving in the U.S. Army, he attended the military police school at Fort Leonard Wood, where he became an expert marksman in Company F, 787th Military Police Battalion. He also successfully completed the 209th N.H. Police Standards and Training course.Prior to his illness, he had served as a part-time police officer for the Chester Police Department.Scott enjoyed riding his motorcycle, reading, writing and poetry. He will be remembered as a loving and devoted son, brother and uncle who cherished time spent with family.He was predeceased by his father, Preston Yerrington, in 1990 as well as his brother, Preston Yerrington, in 1978.Family members include his mother, Maureen Yerrington of Manchester; one sister, Valerie Cunningham and husband Robert Breig of Manchester; one brother, Ernie Yerrington and wife Jane of Manchester; nieces Lauren, Allyson and Teresa Cunningham, Abby Yerrington; one nephew, Preston Yerrington; uncles, aunts and cousins. He is also survived by his favorite dog Tucker.
